Who We Are
Hello!Crosstown 119 is a small, non-profit, faith-based school in Orlando serving Kindergarten through 9th grade. Rooted in the gospel, we believe every child is deeply loved, created with purpose, and capable of meaningful growth.
We are a community committed to cultivating a gospel environment—where loved people love people. This shapes how we teach, lead, and care for one another each day, as students grow in understanding who God says they are—loved, valued, and created with intention.
With small class sizes (around 10 students), we prioritize knowing each child well. Our classrooms are intentionally designed to meet students where they are—academically, socially, and spiritually—so they can grow with confidence and curiosity.
Learning at Crosstown 119 is hands-on, student-centered, and deeply engaging. We build strong foundations in reading and math while also immersing students in rich studies of history, science, and literature. Through storytelling, exploration, and inquiry, students begin to understand the world around them and their place in it.
Character formation is central to our approach. We guide students in developing integrity, responsibility, perseverance, and love for others—grounded in a biblical understanding of identity and purpose.
As part of CrossTown Ministries, our school exists to serve families holistically. We are committed to removing barriers to education by offering our program free of cost to families, including uniforms, meals, transportation, and after-school care.
Above all, we are a place where students are known, challenged, and loved.
Our Story
CrossTown 119 got its name from Psalm 119, which is a chapter in the Bible all about truth and where to find it. It says that the truth of who God is and who we are is found in His Word. We see that students are believing lies about their identity, not even realizing they are lies. Since what we do flows out of who we believe we are, knowing who we are is absolutely crucial to us flourishing. Unfortunately, oftentimes other people are defining who they are in a negative way…the community, social media, family, peers, law enforcement, even teachers. CrossTown 119 is built on rooting students in who God says they are.
Until the 2023-24 school year CrossTown 119 was only an after school program. This is our third year of CrossTown 119 being one thing: a school with an after school program. We wanted to go deep with our students.
Crosstown 119 is a K-9 non-profit private school deeply rooted in respect for each child and their unique story, fostering a learning environment that celebrates student independence and intrinsic motivation.
Teaching is student-centered, emphasizing hands-on, experiential, and project-based learning that integrates art, movement, and the God-given gifts of every child. The school creates a safe and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to take risks, express joy, and share their concerns. With small class sizes of around 10 students, Crosstown 119 prioritizes small-group teaching to ensure personalized attention and meaningful connections. Teachers are supported through protected time for planning, rest, reflection, and fellowship, along with investments in professional development and personal care. The school provides quality curriculum, thoughtfully chosen for the specific needs of its students, as well as access to top-tier materials, teaching tools, and a diverse library that serves as both a window and a mirror for the children. At Crosstown 119, joy, connection, and growth are at the heart of the educational experience for both students and teachers.
